Worthy

I decided to present a different sort of blog today, this blog shares a card from my eQUESTrian Oracle Deck that I am creating. In this Oracle Deck I am using real Horses with words that align with who they are and messages contained within that word.

The card today is Worthy. I used Enchantress for the word Worthy, and I am including the brief bio of the word in relationship with the Horse and excerpts from the book that expounds on the aspects of the word, this book accompanies the deck.

Worthy

Enchantress

Her birth was selected carefully, the right bloodlines for the right conformation, disposition and talent. She arrived truly beautiful, she was brave, open, trusting and intelligent. But then, misfortune overwhelmed her Human and Chant was set aside for many years. Yet, she never stopped believing that life had held a place for her, that she had tremendous value and that she was up for the task of proving it true. When her opportunity came, she was ready. She stepped into the light, head high and heart pounding, but she took her place as all that she was bred to be. It was a late start, but she held fast to her inner knowing that she was meant for great things and her late opportunity did not diminish her innate sense of Worthiness.

Some of us seem to know on a deep level that we are Worthy. We do not need outside endorsement or applause, we just know that we are, simply because we exist. Others of us are void of that innate wisdom and may only learn of its meaning later in life. Some never experience it at all.

Being Worthy of a life that is kind and cared for is a basic for all of us, Human or Horse. Yet, as we all know, life is not always supportive of that ideal. Worthiness comes with many faces and descriptions. If life has dealt a tough hand to someone, their life may be flawed with struggle or scarcity, but if they experience themselves as whole, they may not be aware of their limited lifestyle or lack of opportunity, or even if they are aware of it, it will have no reflection on their sense of Self-Worth. They still experience themselves as whole and Worthy of being seen as valuable….

If the Worthy card has come to your hand today, consider if the person, thought or situation in question is Worthy of your time, or of your input. Is it something that suggests that Worthiness is called for, and is looking to find residence with someone void of it now? Perhaps giving the invitation to step into their Self-Worth? Is it time to look at why you value this thing or situation, or do you need to reconsider its Worth in your life? Do you value yourself enough to say no to situations that rely on your assistance but no longer provide Worth to its cause, or consideration to the real value of your contribution? …

No one else can accept ‘our Worth’ for us. While it is lovely to see and feel the support to our awakening to Self-Worth around us; in the end, only we, ourselves, can accept what belongs to us.

Enchantress has a strong sense of Self-Worth, it is innate within her. She has little time for those struggling with their inner value. If you are to matter to her you must be present and own all that you are about because she will not go looking to find your hidden qualities. She is a challenge to me, both literally and metaphorically, she challenges what I ask of her if I do not show up with complete confidence, and she challenges me to become all that I intuit possible, all that I am capable of when I am with her. If I show up with my lesser version of myself, she dismisses me and proceeds to make her own decisions. It is only when I seek out and embrace every possibility of Worth within myself does she consider me an equal. While this is often difficult for me, it is also an invitation to claim my own Worth. And to not back down when she challenges me. To claim my abilities and potential despite any outer endorsement. To be the one who decides my own Worth. Chant does not rely on the opinions of others to endorse her Worth, she defines it, and because it is measured against her own standards, it cannot be taken from her.

If you would like to submit your Horse to be considered to be included in the Oracle Deck, please contact me and I will provide a list of words that are available.

The Invitation

Take an honest look at how you perceive being Worthy in your life and how does this reflect in your relationship with your Horse? With Enchantress I often felt inadequate to educate her, this made me struggle with guilt over ‘wasting’ her, this caused me to look at other areas of my life and how feeling unWorthy shows up. Also look for signs in your Horse that may speak of being Worthy or not. Horses that have been denied proper care or personal recognition often feel the effects and may question their own Worthiness. Notice if this is being acted out as something different in their behavior or interaction with you
