Wizards

Horses are fabulous Wizards. They cast spells on those of us that are susceptible to their beauty, their strength, their wildness and their mystery. In an instant they can magickally transport us to elation and awe, insight and triumph. And just as quickly they can acutely show us our fears and our flaws and especially illuminate our Shadow Side. How much benefit we derive from these experiences depends on our ability to become an intangible witness as to what is happening during these times of impactful interaction with them.

If we want to explore the actions or emotions that brought on the joyous experiences then we need to be able to step into the space of the Wizard. In this position of esoteric manipulation, we can observe the actions and intentions that take place in this space and in the process learn to identify the tools accessed to manifest that experience. Such as, how were we feeling before that magick happened? What were we thinking? Were we present or were we remembering or projecting? Which of these had a positive impact on this amazing experience? And we can ask these same questions about our Horse. Was my Horse engaged with me from the start?  Did my Horse merge into my world or did I enter her world? Did we both step outside ourselves and meet between the worlds? How can I notice these signals for future interactions?

Being able to access the emotions and thinking of the Horse takes the deliberate intention to be receptive to information, it requires that we lay aside our preconceived ideas. As Human, in our effort to be helpful to the Horse we often take our history, desires and assumptions into this space. This influences as well as limits the information we will receive. Becoming magickal in our thinking and our emotions allows us to align with the mystical power that the Horse seems to innately possess.

The Invitation

When next interacting with your Horse, make a conscious intention to look for magick within the moment. As Horse people we are always focused on care and safety while with our Horses, and these things are important. But this time take a few minutes to give yourself to magick. Invite your Horse to cast a spell on this time together. Their very presence that showers us with their magick is evidence to their innate nature as Wizards, indeed they do transform our lives in ways we will never completely understand.
