Quest Forward

I’ve never been good at goal setting, I more like the idea of Casting a Spell, send out intentions while I do the preparation to make my desires welcome into my world. Recently I have added an element to this practice, Quest Forward.

In my life with Horses I dream/imagine how I want us to be, I study them to see if I can understand how they want us to be. I believe that we have come together this lifetime to serve each other both physically and Soulfully and I consider both of these in my observations. Setting goals to ensure these things transpire makes sense mentally, but, for me it holds more power if I describe in my own heartfelt words what I intend for my future with them to be.

I have adopted the practice of Questing Forward. I quiet my mind and tune into the voice of my Horse and the voice of my Soul, and I open the doorway for information. What do they desire or need this week? How can I help them with this? What do I need from them? How can we combine our gifts in our process to achieve our desires and our commitments?

By writing from this place of Soul, I find answers to these questions, and I write from the eye of the future witness how our week will progress. This Quest is written from the voice of the Horse and from my own desires, it is written from the perspective of how we feel, what we need, what we love, what we fear, and how we will achieve our aspirations. We write our future as we desire it to be, and as the week progresses, we follow the map we have written to make it manifest.

It is a work in progress, and it improves with practice, it is a future we are both creating. If we write our own chronicle of our days then we have a map for our journey written in our own words. There is no program or system better to achieve our goals than our own words that we have written in our own Quest Forward.
